Have a garden party wedding with brilliant blooms, flowing dresses, and pastel colors

Hosting a garden party wedding is often the perfect choice for any luxury affair. With the warm atmosphere and fragrant blossoms we can expect in Michigan, a garden wedding venue (like Etre Farms!) provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable experience on your wedding day. Your guests will swoon staring at you in your flowing wedding dress surrounded by whimsical florals and elegant pastel colors. Now that doesn’t sound like a bad way to say “I do”!

Get married near the water (yes – even in Michigan!).

I’m always available to photograph destination weddings, but we also have dreamy waterfront wedding venues right here in Mitten State. A waterfront wedding offers an idyllic, often ethereal atmosphere for you to exchange your vows. I love any outdoor wedding venue but being surrounded by water definitely takes it up a notch.  Michigan is home to some of the most luxurious and romantic venues for a water-filled special day.

Whether by the river, lakefront, or on the beach, I will always be thrilled to photograph your wedding. If you are daydreaming of spring or summer wedding themes by the water, don’t feel like you have to look further than the Great Lakes State.

Say “I do” in a vineyard surrounded by grapevines and beautiful scenery.

When you think of spring or summer wedding themes in Michigan, a winery might not be the first setting that comes to mind. But maybe it should be! Imagine saying the most important words of your life amidst a canopy of grapevines, surrounded by lush rolling hills, blue skies, and a picturesque landscape. For couples looking for a timeless and elegant wedding ceremony, a Michigan vineyard can provide the perfect backdrop. Let’s not forget to mention the mouthwatering wine during the reception either!

Tie the knot in a barn for a rustic and romantic vibe

If you are looking for a more rustic and romantic setting to tie the knot, we have no shortage of barn wedding venues here in Michigan. For an extra touch, make sure to add some string lighting or a chandelier to set the mood. I know I am not alone in this when I say that I will never say no to a chandelier. If you are looking for spring or summer wedding themes that feel like Michigan, you can truly still make your wedding day one-of-a-kind by transforming one of our incredible barn wedding venues into something unique and memorable for your special day.

Make sure your spring or summer wedding themes feel like YOU.

You don’t need to find a “theme” and stick to it throughout your wedding day either. For couples hoping to make special memories, whatever you do together should reflect your unique connection and individual styles. Whether it feels more true to you as a couple to host an intimate gathering of family and friends, or if your style is finding a large wedding venue with a live band and no curfew, take the time to make sure you are planning a wedding that is a true expression of who you are as a couple.

From whimsical details to exquisite décor, no opportunity should go unexplored when creating delightful experiences that will be remembered for years to come! The SKY is the limit.

Garden parties, waterfront locations, vineyards, barns… oh my. As a Michigan wedding photographer, I can assure you that there are so many amazing options here in the Mitten State.
