Next, we’ll pick a date and location for your engagement session. This is a good opportunity to document not only that shiny bit of bling on your finger but also you two hanging out in a place that’s special to you. I’ll send a style guide to help you decide what to wear, so you can plan ahead. And did I mention that you can bring your dog, too? This will be fun, just trust me!

Six months before your wedding date, I’ll send a questionnaire that includes everything I need to know to craft your timeline. It’s extensive, so snuggle up on the couch and take your time to answer! After it’s submitted, I’ll craft your timeline and schedule a call to review it so you can ask any and all questions.

Two months or fewer before your wedding day, we’ll chat on the phone to go over your timeline and nail down the details. I’ll also send a few emails full of wedding day tips I’ve learned along the way, so you can feel as prepared as possible. Now, get some beauty rest, because the day you tie the knot is getting closer and closer!

The day you’ve been waiting for has arrived! My second photographer and I will arrive ready to serve you in any way you need. We’ll canvas the day with our cameras, capturing every precious moment and more. I’ll also grab those candids you love, documenting every special person in your life. And before you’re even back from your honeymoon, a sneak peek of images will arrive in your inbox!

Just six weeks after your wedding date, your full gallery will arrive. If you ordered an album, your fully designed, custom-made album will be delivered to your doorstep just a few weeks later. I design each client’s albums with a narrative lens, so the experience of flipping through your album will feel like reliving the best day of your life!

Q: Will you travel outside of Michigan to photograph my wedding?
A: Yes! I’m such a traveler at heart, so I’d love to put your hometown or dream international wedding location on my destination list. Just specify the location of your wedding in your inquiry form, and I’ll take that into consideration as I design your custom collection.
Q: How far in advance of my wedding should we book?
A: My calendar fills about a year in advance, so the earlier the better! I recommend inquiring right after you book your venue. But if you’re late to the party, I do sometimes have openings, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
Q: Can we bring our dog to the engagement session?
A: Of course! Not only is your pup allowed, but welcome! It’s a fun way to add some personality to your session, so I’m happy to photograph an engagement session with a furry third wheel.
Q: What does a second photographer do?
A: My trusty second photographer takes photos of moments I can’t be there for and gets an additional perspective on moments you’ve been dreaming of your entire life! She preserves the groom’s side of the “getting ready” story, while I preserve the bride’s. She captures all the candids of your guests, while I document all of the curated reception details. A second photographer is so vital as we fill in the narrative of your day.
Q: How does album design work?
A: If your collection includes an album, I’ll take on the design duties. This way you don’t have to sift through hundreds of images and learn how to design an album on the fly! I aim to make album design as effortless as the rest of my experience. All you have to do is approve the final layout, and a few weeks later, the album is delivered to your doorstep!
I’ve adopted an approach to wedding photography that’s not about perfection or my portfolio. It’s about people. And when you need someone to round up the goofy groomsmen for their photo op, encourage the flower girl to venture down the aisle, or refill your champagne flute before your first look, I’ll be there. All you have to do is say the word!
