Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden Engagement

AHHHH!!!! I seriously can’t get over how gorgeous this session turned out. This was my first time ever visiting the Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden. I could not be more excited for the end result. These photos are probably some of my favorite. It definitely helps that Chelsea and Brandon look like models! I highly recommend anyone who loves nature or flowers to visit the Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden in Ann Arbor at some point in their life. It is incredible!!! The peonies are only in bloom once a year. The website tracks the blooms every year so you will always know the perfect time to visit. We showed up about 2 hours before sunset and were able to find the smallest patch of golden light still hitting the flowers. The whole garden is surrounded by VERY tall trees. Showing up later in the evening also meant we got to have the place mostly to ourselves!

After a little while we headed on over to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens for a little bit. To say the images turned out magical is an understatement!!! I am obsessed! Chelsea changed dresses at this point and future brides let me just tell you. You can never be too dressed up! Her emerald green dress was perfect. Chelsea and Brandon were absolutely soo much fun to work with. They made my job super easy and I am really excited to shoot their wedding at the gorgeous Bay Pointe Inn in Shelbyville, MI.

Here are some other sessions shot at Matthaei Botanical Gardens if you are thinking of having your engagement session there: Angela and Alarik, Iris and John
