Kingsley is Two Months Old

I can’t believe it is already here, Kingsley is two months old!!! That doesn’t seem like much time at all honestly, but he has changed and grown so much in such a short period of time he seems way older. I have to keep reminding myself he is still sooo young. At his 2 month appointment he was 13 lbs 6 oz and 24 in. He is getting so big. He grew 2 inches from last month and gained 2lbs 5oz. He got his first round of vaccines and I almost cried. He slept all day!

He loves sucking on his hands, splashing around in the bath, and watching TV. He has started making lots of happy noises and his smiles are more than just gas! It melts my momma heart when Wade plays with him and Kingsley smiles back. He is exploring the world around him and stares at everything. He is content to sit in his bouncer and just take in everything around him.

This kid is the strongest baby I have ever met. He almost has complete head control and tries to stand on us constantly. He succeeds a lot of the time and it completely baffles me. He loves getting his diaper changed. Weird I know. He just loves being on the changing table for some reason even if he is just hanging out. He loves tummy time on his boppy pillow. The smiles and happy sounds are so precious.

He has finally started sleeping pretty well! We started him in the SNOO bassinet a few days before his 1 month birthday. Slowly over the last month he has gone from sleeping 3-4hrs straight in the SNOO at night to 6-8hrs straight. He still hates naps in the SNOO, but for some strange reason he does okay in his crib in a swaddle. We can get 30min-2hrs in there. Most of the time 30 minutes lol, but hey it’s a work in progress.

Unfortunately, the last time anyone besides Wade and I have seen him was when he turned 1 month old. It being the middle of winter and COVID still here makes it hard to see people. I cant wait until my family gets to see him again!

Also, as you can see below we finally found a pacifier that works! We have tried sooo many. He liked a few sometimes, but would constantly spit it out or try to chew on it instead. I tried the BIBS pacifier as a last resort and he instantly took it and it actually stays in his mouth! He spits it out sometimes or it takes a minute for him to realize what’s in his mouth, but it actually works! Of course the kid would like the most expensive one!

There is probably so much I am missing, but I can’t wait to see him continuing to discover the world around him!

So because not much has happened this month, below is more of a photo dump. So enjoy!!!!
