Downtown Fenton Engagement Session | Abby and Aaron

Abby and Aaron’s Downtown Fenton Engagement Session was one of the most personal I have photographed. Every spot we shot at had special meaning to them as a couple. When I first met Abby and Aaron over Zoom we chatted a bit about what their engagement session could look like. I stressed to them that sessions with a more personal touch are always going to be more meaningful to you as a couple than just pretty pictures. They mentioned they are big gamers and I suggested the idea of a in home lifestyle engagement session. They loved the idea! So we did just that! I started out in their home (which happens to be special as it was passed down to Aaron from his grandma). I got to capture them just being themselves playing video games together. Getting competitive, laughing, giggling, and have fun! They happen to live on a beautiful lake so we ventured outside to get some there as well.

It was then time to head to Downtown Fenton for the rest of their engagement session. Aaron proposed in the same spot that we took photos. The Gazebo he proposed under was under construction, but I managed to work some magic and capture some photos for them anyway. Their session was originally supposed to be a week earlier, but mother nature had a different plan, rain and cold. We couldn’t have rescheduled to a more beautiful day. The flowers and trees are finally starting to bloom and I can confidently say it feels like spring outside.

Last stop on the train, Fenton Fire Hall. It’s a restaurant right in Downtown Fenton. The same restaurant Abby and Aaron ate at after she said YES!!! The manager was so nice and let us up onto the rooftop for some picturesque skyline images. We were able to catch the last of the sunset as it peeked behind the clouds. I’ve never eaten there, but it looks absolutely delicious! Abby and Aaron told me so 🙂

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in one week at the Vale Royal Barn!

Hard to meet a woman as subtlety elegant as Abby; you captured that beautifully. Congrats to the couple, I look forward to seeing the wedding pictures. Sending love.
