Angela and Alarik’s blush toned Sutton Barn wedding was soo much fun! The two of them had to deal with some unfortunate circumstances surrounding the state of the country and their wedding. They had everything planned for May 30th, but COVID-19 had other plans. The two of them weren’t going to let that stop them though! They had waited too long to get married and Alarik got offered a great opportunity for a job in Texas. So they made the decision to split the ceremony and reception into two separate days. I know it weighed on the two of them not being able to have all their friends and family at the ceremony but, they knew their love was the most important thing and that they would have an amazing celebration later when it was safer.
That brings us to this beautiful joy-filled blush toned Sutton Barn wedding. Even though the two were already married when I shot their reception here, Angela and Alarik and all their friends and family didn’t let it dampen the night! Everyone was full of so much joy and fun and laughter. There was dancing, cornhole, board games, and so much amazing conversation between family and friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to spend the night with. I photographed Angela and Alarik’s engagement session at Matthaei Botanical Gardens a while back. They were so easy and so much fun to work with. I just knew their wedding would be the same!
Angela and Alarik thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day and a part of your story. I couldn’t have asked for a more incredible couple to work with. Even though your day didn’t turn out as planned, you didn’t let it dampen your spirits. Good luck at your new jobs, in a new state, on this new journey the two of you have embarked on together!
