Romantic Doubletree by Hilton Port Huron Wedding

I have photographed a few Doubletree by Hilton Port Huron Weddings in the past, but Alyssa and Nick’s has definitely turned into one of my all time favorites at the venue! The St Clair River and the Blue Water Bridge were the perfect backdrop to their soft and romantic blush wedding.

I first met Alyssa and Nick for their engagement session at The Detroit Zoo! They have a membership and go all the time together so what better place to photograph them as a couple. I have said this so many times, but I will say it again. Your engagement session is the perfect time and place to make it 100% YOU! Going hiking to your favorite spot, visit your favorite coffee shop, make dinner together in your kitchen, have a picnic, go where he proposed or where you had your first date. The possibilities a literally endless, know someone who has a fun vintage car or has access to an airplane hanger.

Always wanted a destination engagement session, LET’S DOT IT! Let’s travel to the dunes on the west side of the state, Chicago, Paris, or New York City.

By the time Alyssa and Nick’s wedding day came they were super comfortable with being in front of the camera because they took advantage of the engagement session offered. Their Doubletree by Hilton Port Huron Wedding was the perfect backdrop for all the events. Getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and the reception all happened a their venue. Alyssa spent the morning toasting champagne with her friends before slipping into her romantic tulle pink dress. The first look overlooked the water while Alyssa’s mom snuck a peek and couldn’t help but be overjoyed with happy tears.

The Bride and Groom Portraits by the St Clair River are breathtaking! So soft and feminine and romantic. Exactly as Alyssa had imagined! After the ceremony during sunset we snuck away for 10-15 minutes for some husband and wife portraits. We got super lucky and found the only trees left that still had Fall leaves. It was the end of October. It was the perfect end to the night!
