Okay, enough small talk – here are some of my favorite 2023 wedding trends!

Wedding Color Palettes Include Shades of Red

Red might be one of the most timeless, luxury-inducing wedding colors around. Whether it’s a classic deep wine hue or soft Scarlet, pops of Red will instantly make your big day feel incredibly special and elegant. In my humble opinion, it’s the perfect wedding color to represent both love and passion. Red roses are a timeless addition to any 2023 wedding design but you don’t need to stop there. With an array of shades, textures and patterns to choose from in 2023, you can create something truly unique to you.

After the last several years of white blush and greenery dominating wedding color palettes everything, shades of red are undoubtedly here to stay as a primary wedding color palette for weddings everywhere.

Intimate weddings will continue to be popular

In the age of coronavirus, micro weddings surged in popularity. Couples who are deeply committed to celebrating their love without sacrificing luxury are turning to intimate weddings as a safe and memorable alternative. While we can only hope that we no longer have to worry about intimate weddings being a necessity, that doesn’t mean it won’t continue as one of the most popular 2023 wedding trends. Choosing an intimate wedding offers more than just practicality – it’s a chic way for couples to cherish their momentous day but also show off their sophisticated sense of style. With a smaller budget, you can go big on experience.

Destination weddings will become more common

Destination weddings have been popular for a while now (and for good reason). What better way to create an extraordinary and unforgettable wedding day? Couples can create a truly unique and luxurious experience for their guests in a fabulous setting. They can create lasting memories and actually spend more TIME with their guests.

Although destination weddings have paused over the last couple of years, I believe there will be a surge of destination weddings amoung 2023 wedding trends. With the convenience of travel, it’s never been easier for couples to move their wedding celebrations from home to abroad, and create something that is all their own.

Wedding planners will become more involved

I am a huge advocate of using a wedding planner (check out this post for why!). With the dawn of a new era of weddings, wedding planners are now tasked with organizing extravagant events that exude luxury. Whether it is creating exquisite floral displays and prestigious catering offerings to turning the visions of couples into lasting memories, wedding planners will take every step possible to guarantee an opulent affair on the grandest scale imaginable. As I say often – the sky is the limit!

Over the past few years, couples have opted for a day of coordinator in lieu of a full wedding planner. In 2023 wedding trends, I’m seeing couples prioritize hiring a wedding planner to help them from start to finish. By ensuring that no detail is overlooked, I truly believe that a wedding planner is one of the best investments you can make (after wedding photography of course!).

Technology will play a bigger role in wedding planning and execution

There is no doubt about it – technology is revolutionizing the way couples plan and bring their weddings to life. Videographers can now capture every special moment of the big day in immersive 3-D viewing experiences, while innovators are creating unique expressions like projecting light onto the ceiling of your ballroom wedding venue to look like the night sky. Even “standard” reception elements are feeling more high-touch, with photo booths featuring customized backdrops or hologram dance floors.

One of the more popular 2023 wedding trends I’ve seen with technology is live-streaming for those who can’t attend. With so many tech-fueled possibilities, those wishing to become newlyweds can turn their dreams into a luxurious reality!
